Mission


Providing quality of education, Awareness and health care in the spirit of the society, especially the poor, the disadvantaged and the disenfranchised irrespective of caste and creed.

Vision


To identify and work with the impoverished, weaker and vulnerable sections of the society to find solutions to the challenges threatening their lives with the ultimate aim of establishing an aware, responsible and developed society based upon equality, fraternity and social justice, ensuring sustainable and holistic development with emphasis on human rights, and a culture of social service through creating synergy and building strategic partnership with the Government, NGOs (non-government organizations), SHGs (self help groups), CBOs (community based organizations) and various national and international organizations by planning appropriate downstream and upstream interventions and also to help the poor and needy children or people at risk and marginalized communities irrespective of Caste, Creed or Religion and to create opportunities to develop their potential to become self – reliant and self – sustainable individuals.

GOAL

Development of poor, needy, destitute and sick persons and children in slums and villages, to help them break the cycle of poverty.

Objectives of RRHEDS:


    1. Education, research and training:

      1. To promote education, especially girl education.

      2. To conduct educational, environmental and sociological studies.

      3. To promote use of Information & Communication Technology (ICT) for socio-economic development of the community.

      4. To organize training and refresher programmes for the volunteers and officials of different Non Government Organizations to strengthen the development skills of trainees through IEC (information, education and communication) which they can use in the development sector.

      5. To disseminate information and knowledge, to edit, publish, and print literature and documents, maintain libraries, and to organize seminars/ conference/ meetings etc.

      6. To promote participation of youth (unemployed as well as students) in income generation activities.

      7. To establish educational, professional and vocational institutions like Engineering, Medical, Pharmacy and Agricultural Colleges that would strengthen the developmental process.

      8. To organize lectures, seminars and workshops to help or strengthen the character building process.

      9. To extend educational support to children of families under

Difficult Circumstances, namely, Long-term Prisoners, Farmers who Committed Suicide, HIV/ AIDS patients.



    1. Health:

      1. To spread awareness about STD and HIV/AIDS and work for the welfare of people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHAs).

      2. To work in the field of reproductive and child health, Cancer like Breast, Skin, Blodder, Leprosy, Diabetics, bone Diseases, Heart, Eye treatment services e.t.c.

      3. To create awareness about communicable and vector-borne disease control measures through better hygiene and sanitation.

      4. To provide Free Medical aid/ Treatment to poor people, through Hospitals, Leprosy colonies, Medical camps, monthly rations to Leprosy, T.B., HIV/ AIDS and Blind patients.

      5. To narrow the difference between the health status of people on the basis of their religion, region, caste, class and gender.

    2. To encourage organ, Blood donation.

    3. Development:

      1. To promote social welfare activities with special emphasis on women empowerment.

      2. To work for the betterment of weaker sections viz. SC/ST, women, children, senior citizens, and disabled etc. with a vision of social justice.

      3. To speed up the process of rural development and strengthen the agricultural, horticultural and animal husbandry sector.

      4. To eliminate child labour, child trafficking, and child abuse and focus on the education and resettlement of these deprived children.

      5. To form self help groups and cooperatives and run income generation activities by linking them with banks through micro-credit.

      6. To Establish Old Age homes, Crèches, Orphan Houses, Rural and Urban Development activities, e.t.c.

      7. To grant aid/or assistance, financial or otherwise, to colleges, Hospitals, Dispensaries and Aushadhalayas or other institutions or establishments. Treatment of patients belonging to the poorer sections of the Society?

      8. To give Scholarship and other help or assistance either financial or otherwise to poor, needy and deserving students for obtaining education or allied fields and for going abroad for advanced studies.

      9. To do all other acts deeds and things as may be necessary and conductive for the attainment of the said objects.

    4. To work for environmental awareness, sustainable development and participative management of local natural resources for village level development.

    5. To fight against social wrongs like discrimination and harassment based on gender, caste and class.

    6. To create awareness among people about functions and powers of PRIs (Panchayati Raj Institutions) and increase people’s participation in democratic institutions.

    7. To create awareness about disaster management and Emergency relief.

    8. To fight against corruption and make people aware about their legal and consumer and Human rights.

    9. To collaborate with corporate houses to fulfill their social responsibilities.
