MERCY HOME - INDIA

Our organization “BACKWARD COMMUNITY LITERACY-DEVELOPMENT SOCIETY” (with aim TO SERVE THE NEEDY) is a Non-Governmental, Non-Profitable, Non-Political, Voluntary Organization. Our organization has vast past experience up to date in the fields of Literacy, Education, Women Empowerment, Health inclusive of Child, Maternity and Eye-Health, HIV/AIDS, Vulnerable Groups, SHG programmes, and other developmental activities.

We are proposing this Mercy Home (we shouldn’t mention as Orphanage but just Home with love, affection, and care. Mercy Home will be in town of Kadapa (previously called as Cuddapah), India, with good environment (air, water, light). First we establish Mercy Home for 25 orphans on need based.

Mr. CH. Vijaya Babu, President-BCLDS who has a Bachelor degree in Commerce and having certificates in Rural Development (NIRD), Adult Education (Sevabharat), Participatory Poverty Assessment (DFID) have got an idea to start this home for homeless, Victims of AIDS, fatherless, prisoners (women) children and street children. This area is poor in agriculture and its drought prone area. The target group are identified are (S.C. and S.T.) underprivileged and others specially, economically backward communities, who are laborers and have no means of livelihood.

India is one the developing countries of the world. One of the reasons being poverty majority of the rural areas in India area subjected to under development. The concept of the poverty is something mysterious and people on account of their traditional ignorance are not in a position to comprehend to the fullest extent. Further, the facilities of communication and medical care of are not within the easy reach and the simple reassigns that the financial stability of the several agencies, involved in developmental programmes do not permit such meritorious undertakings.

There are not considerable economic stagnations due to poverty. The health facilities are inadequate and standard of sanitation is uncritically lacking. Agriculture being the major source of livelihood is decided the fact of the majority of the rural people in the target areas the range of rainfall is very modest and the agricultural lass only for 7 months. The rest of the period, the target area people suffer on account of agricultural under developmental and also lack of alternative employment opportunities. So many people from the villages will migrate to near by towns. They don’t get any kind of social justice of minimum wages as per the constitutional enactments.

The standard of living in the target area is low and their lift us boost by poor housing conditions, poor health, inadequate public and private provision for hygiene and medical care, in sufficient communications Transport and educational facilities. The target area is continuously left in a state of poverty due to extremely limited resources restrictions communication gap, lack of education and medical facilities. Added to these things the target people replay and act upon superstitious without giving and kind of consideration than the modern realities of the issues. The quantum of poverty is such that the target are deprived of so many normal facilities and minimum needs economically speaking, one has to except this target area as undeveloped because of low labor productivity, low local product and low average income.

BCLDS Programmes

During the course of our programme activities we have notice a good number of orphans ill-fated at least children of 6 months to 12 years age group nearly 100 Nos. who are suffering for their bread and medical treatment. As the God himself serves the above children, their parents (single) also not paying proper attention to them and the state of these children is a pathetic. If no body initiates to take care of these Children, they will become burden to the society in future.

Orphans and other vulnerable children are confronted with severe threats to their well being including isolation, loss of income, educational access, shelter, nutrition, and other essentials. Hence, our organization intends to provide shelter to these ill treated children and tackle their problems.

We came to this opinion that the lack of education is the most disadvantageous factor in the process of development of these children. The recognition of this immediate need made us to submit this appeal to your kind humanity for early consideration and human assistance.

Presently, we have identified 25 children who are loitering in the streets, bus stations, and railway stations they do not have proper care minimum facilities like shelter, clothing, food, etc., and they simply lead their lives by begging. Their pathetic conditions lead us to submit this appeal for changing their life styles to turn them in to good and responsible citizens.

Malnutrition, unhygienic surroundings make children weak and vulnerable to diseases. They need motivation, time bound support to modify their out look and their lives, as the kind donor already known.

Literacy is the right weapon to truth out the ignorance from the minds of these deprived ill-fated children this Mercy Home must be initiated with the kind help of your magnanimous help.

We envisage orphans to improve the social, Physiological, economical,spiritual conditions to these children.

We sincerely submit our appeal request for your sympathetic assistance to help the poor and helpless fellow human beings (orphans) who are in distress and for this act of kindness; the Almighty may shower his blessing on the magnanimous Donors, with sincere assurance of our wholehearted effort in implementing this Mercy Home and making it a success.

$25 a month will give life to a child.

$550 a year will give salary for Teacher/Warden.
