PEOPLE
The concept need literally refers to
desire of acquiring some thing beyond capacity or a condition of poverty
and misfortune. Extended families, overwhelming majority orphans, widows
and many others due to sickness and other hazards with no fear or
favor are needy. The social and economic impact caused by the death of
partners or parents is devastating to those left behind. AIDS/HIV has
increased the suffering of orphans and widows and increased their
vulnerability to harmful and discriminatory practices.
As parents and any other bread earner
for the family becomes ill or dies, the entire family and relatives face
decreased access to basic healthy care, food, nutrition, education,
housing. In Uganda AIDS/HIV is a big threat, it really left a
big impact in families. The government has tried to come to the poor
persons rescue but can not reach out to all of them since the number is
big and worrying.
